Title: LNA!
Post by: Radio2.0 on December 18, 2014, 10:40:38 AM
Hey
I can recommend a LNA. Today i got my R820T2 with my "PSA4-5043+ IN-LINE LNA LOW NOISE AMPLIFIER, PEAMP - AERIAL BOOSTER".
It cost £9.95 and my range increase near 50%!
Now i get Aircrafts from an Area i never revived before.
Today i will attached to my Antenna on the rooftop.  :P
So guys take an LNA and you will wonder how your range increase.  :-*

I also bought an LNA but it's outside in the garage at the moment. Rather a strong smell of chlorinated hydrocarbons when I opened the packet so leaving to evaporate.

My liver suffers enough from ethanol - didn't need the additional hazard  ;)

Spent long enough avoiding them at work in a lab.

Hence not had chance to try the LNA yet.

Connected the LNA today and no signal getting through at all.

Dongle works fine without LNA showing messages in ModesDeco. No messages once LNA in line. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Too much gain resulting in saturation/overload of the dongle front end?
