I received many complaints about the "joke" from those who found it in bad taste and offensive.

I decided to remove it.  If that makes me "bonkers", so be it.

Racist? Only if Liverpudlian is a different race to Londoner.

I've had more complaints than support about the original post.

I too found it offensive, in poor taste and removed it.  In over three years of operating this aviation related forum, I've moderated only a handful of the 24,000 posts.

And I've no intention of deleting a complete board because of one errant post.

This is a free forum to join and if some don't approve of my moderation they are free to leave too. 

As I said, if it was THE ONE I thought it was, then moderation had gone mad.

I never saw the actual joke in question but I'm sure Mike deleted it for the right reasons.

Oh, and by the way, websites these days are full of delicate souls, it's a sign of the times and something we have to accept.
