Hi there,
I would like to connect Virtual Radar via SBSnet pro.
IP adres is known but wich portnumber should i use?
I see VR connecting but no data is comming thru.
Can you help me with this item?
Many thanks!
Kees (EHGG1)
Hi Kees
I'm away from home for a few days without access to my desktop and files. Have you tried 10001?
Hi Amner,
Long time no see (hear)!
Everything OK?
A lot has changed during the last years. but it's still getting better!
from my SBSNet pro (192.168.178.15) it's connecting with 20060. But no data is comming to VRS.
Other ports don't connect (10001).
I think it's searching for the right port....
best regards.
Kees
Hi Kees
I'll check when I get back home.
Just had a thought, are you running any decoding software? SBSnetPro doesn't decode messages.
Hi,
Yes, SBSclient (feed for FR24).
I just checked: shut down the sbs client en started only VRS.
I tried ports: 20060 and 10001: no results....
Still searching.
Kees
Thanks Kees,
Can you list the full sequence of devices with IP addresses and ports that you're using from the receiver onwards?
Hi,
it's only one laptop with SBSnet pro and the SBSclient.
IP: 192.168.178.15 (laptop)
my SBS1 reveiver is connected to the Lantronix adapter (Jetvision) (192....210)
The laptop is the centre of it all.
Sometimes i'm looking on a other pc to "basestation" to see if everything is working fine, update databases etc.
(connectiong made on 192...15 laptop)
so no specials further.
Kees
@ Anmer,
hi, still thinking? ;) i did use several portnumbers: no succes.
kees
If I understand your setup you have an SBS-1 and an SBSnet Ethernet device? This allows you to connect to the SBS-1 using TCP/IP across your local network.
The SBSnetPRO software utility should allow multiple BaseStation connections but a later BaseStation release, I forget which one, broke this feature.
Ignoring VRS for the moment, can you run BaseStation using SBSnetPRO and if you can, what port number do you set in BaseStation?
When you use SBSClient what port number do you use? And does this work OK? BaseStation shows local traffic and SBS1 Client works as expected?
Hi Anmer,
some days off, busy at work....
Yep, i use SBSnet pro.
I can log on with several computers on 192.....15, port 20060
On the laptop, running the SBSnetPro i'm also running SBS client, same ip adres, same portnumber.
This configuration is running 24/7, no problems (somtimes a software update so i have to restart)
Would be nice if VRS would run also on this machine (laptop)
Kees
Hi Kees
SBS-1 Client sits between the receiver and BaseStation.
In your setup, SBS-1 Client connects via SBSnetPRO. BaseStation connects to SBS-1 Client via TCP/IP.
With BaseStation running, have you tried connecting VRS using port 30003?
Hi Anmer,
I tried 30003: no connection, no data.
If i use 20060: connected, but no data
Kees
Thanks Kees.
Is your SBS-1 Client "Patched for PP"? See page 6 of the SBS-1 Client User Manual.
Hi Amner,
Been a while: went to Turkey for a short trip!
My SBS-1 client is not patched for PP
