Title: Bad experience with microadsb, any help?
Post by: meneses24 on April 13, 2015, 06:38:36 PM
Hi,

I bought this receiver from Ebay and my experience has not been very good. Using two laptops with Windows 8, and 7 respectively the device didn´t work properly. Yesterday tried it with a third PC with Windows XP and althought the receiver seems to be operating, with an external antenna and using an offset of 120 mV I am able to receive very poor quality reception and barely 4 aircrafts in 20 minutes. With the same antenna and a Rpi receiver I receive 5 aircrafts, 4 of them with ADSB information almost 140 miles away.

Somebody had the same experience and any suggestions to improve it?

Otherwise I´ll trow it away

Hi Anmer, I was using the software provided with it. Also tried to use PlanePlotter but not sure if it was receiving it properly or just downloading info from other receiver.

Indeed, adsbScope 2.5. Right now I am using uRef offset at 120 mV and no targets shown.
