I am having difficulty understanding Merged Feeds. I have a feed from a local RTL receiver and a second receiver feed from an external server.
When I create a merged feed from these 2 sources I get the expected combined number of aircraft tracked.
Now my problem, and I apologize for a pretty basic question, how can I use this Merged Feed? Can I take it to the localhost and display it on screen? Is its purpose to be Rebroadcast to another server? Neither of these options?
Thanks,
Rick
Yes, you can rebroadcast it to your local tracking software. Just configure a new rebroadcast server with the correct data and use the merged feed as input.
Thanks for your reply. You have restored my faith in my logic!
I have merged MY_RECV and SERVER_REC into MERGED. I have set-up a Rebroadcast Server with the MERGED feed: Basestation 127.0.0.1:30003
Do I now need to set-up a Receiver to get the Rebroadcast feed in VirtualRadarServer? (I ask because I've tried several combinations of receivers without success?)
SUCCESS! I now have my local feed merged on screen with SDRsharp.com data.
Next I'll try to pass my data on to be shared with others!
Thanks again for the help.
