Good Day All.
Grateful for some advice and opinions.
Just had a total meltdown of my laptop (Acer Aspire 8930) and considering replacing with a Microsoft Surface Pro.
Will this machine run SBS and Aerodata? Anyone any experience, is it any good?
Grateful for your opinions and advice.
Best Regards
Mariner.
I think Chris Taylor was running BaseStation on one.
But on his website there's a note about the latest BaseStation CD:
"Please note this will not work on a Microsoft Surface"
http://www.tmrf.co.uk/?s=basestation
Maybe email him and check?
According to Wikipedia, the Surface and Surface 2 both used non-Intel processors and hence will not run the version of Windows (x86) that BaseStation needs.
Intel processors capable of running "normal" Windows were used from Surface 3 and in all versions of the Surface Pro. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Surface
So that note from Chris needs a bit of clarification now.
I will test with a Surface 3 and update as necessary
Thank you for the assistance very much appreciated.
