Go to http://www.kinetic.co.uk/basestationdownloads1.php And download the 184 CD version. You can extract this to a new folder or burn to a CD - either way it should setup your hardware and software again as it includes the drivers.
Just remember to disconnect the aerial before you plug the SBS into your PC, and DON'T start the Basestation program until the box is plugged in and the drivers detected.. This I did, followed instructions, ended up directory
Basestation
Programme files
Kinetic
Basestation
is this correct?
The programme appears to be running OK, except I have no Operator flags coming up on the the screen. There are flags in the directory, columns are ticked in the display. I would like to have the operating flags working.
Could you explain how to add Airports and extra ways points. I miss my old system with all the info. I have been using SBS since 2005, moved on to SBS-3 when it came out.
My age doesn't help and have been having with drawl symptons since the hard disk failure, Have now put it onto a desktop computer, as the previous setup was on a laptop.
Thank you would be obliged of any help.

A collection of OperatorFlags may simply be copied into the respective Subfolder under Basestation.
So first locate if/where these subfolders are.
BMPFlags ( here are the Flags (that are country Flags in BMP format)
OperatorFlags ( here are all the Operator Flags (also in BMP format, size 85 x 20 )
Make sure that you only copy BMP ! No jpeg, JPG or similar.
Otherwise Basestation may stop loading at the faulty entry while continuing to run.
BTW Basestation is loading these file only at startup, if you add any in the subfolder
you may force BS to reload by pulldown menue Settings> Reload> Flags .

Where are you expecting them to appear? In the right-hand aircraft list or the Aircraft Details window?
If the aircraft list, does the column display without the flags or is the column missing?

There's a free Guide here explaining how to use outlines.

Thanks for replying. I am using Windows 7.
Flags are in the flag folder, not displaying on the right, column ticked in columns. The only thing wrong seems to be the flags not showing.
Thanks once again. I seem to remember that when I got windows 7, I had to alter something in one of directories.
don'tknow if theris any more information you require.

Thanks.
Does an empty Operator flag column appear in the Aircraft List?
If it's not there, use Acarslogger's AircraftListConfigurer to enable it.
