After installing the software for sharing data with FlightRadar24, I am able to successfully share data from my SBS-1. Unfortunately I am unable to run Basestation at the same time as the FR24 feed, even though I have MPX set to "Yes" in the configurtion settings.
If anyone has any suggestions on how I might fix this, I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance
Does this help? I have no personal experience of using SBS-1 to feed FR24

Using port 20072 to connect to Basestation?
What version of the FR24 feeder are you using?
Ian, Anmer,
Many thanks for your quick replies.
I can confirm that I am using port 20072 in the Basestation hardware settings so I think that ties up with the advice in the link and the FR24 instructions. I am using the USB connection option, so it seems that once FR24 has grabbed the link, Basestation is locked out. As soon as I stop the FR24 link, Basestation fires up.
The FR24 feeder software I am using is version 1.0.14-9 downloaded a few weeks ago.

Thanks. The latest Windows feeder is 1.0.15.7.
I've downloaded this version and can replicate your experience. The FR24 Windows feed process has changed since I last used it and don't quite understand how it's supposed to work with BaseStation. I've read the PDF Manual and was none the wiser.
As I understand it, the data flow (for a TCP connection) is:
SBS-1 -> FR24Feed -> BaseStation
This looks OK in theory but how does one get the data for BaseStation?
It looks like it should be available on port 30003
BUT, deep in the Manual, which has no page numbers, section 3.2 says that the data is available on 127.0.0.1, port 20072. So when I set BaseStation to connect via Network to 127.0.0.1 port 20072, it displays aircraft. Which is what IanH suggested.
I'm not sure if you normally connect to the SBS-1 using USB or Network?
Here is my FR24Feed.ini file:
receiver="sbs1tcp"
fr24key="
removed"
host="192.168.1.170:10001"
bs="no"
raw="no"
logmode="1"
mpx="yes"
mlat="no"
mlat-without-gps="no"
Try changing BaseStation's Data Source to Network having first changed Hardware Settings -> Network Address to
127.0.0.1 and Port to
20072
My impression of the feeder software is that it is intended for a dongle using dump1090. Couldn't figure out how it works with anything else but it does seem to.

I agree that's what it "looks like" but it's also intended for SBS-1/3 users who used to represent the majority of FR24 feeds.
I think it's been overcomplicated and the manual could be improved.
I tried setting the FR24 config file to the "sbs1tcp" settings you suggested and then set SBS-1 to "Use Network" (with hardware settings set to address 127.0.0.1 an port 20072 as before), but was unable to transfer any data to FR24 at all. Then I tried going back to my original settings for the USB connected configuration as follows:
receiver="sbs1usb"
fr24key="removed"
host="192.168.1.170:10001"
bs="yes"
raw="no"
baudrate="921600"
logmode="1"
windowmode="0"
mpx="yes"
mlat="no"
mlat-without-gps="no"
Previously I had the SBS-1 set to use the USB data source but this time (by accident!) I left it set to the "Use Network" setting and as if by magic it all works now providing you start the FR24 feed first and then start Basestation! I don't understand exactly why it works but it does!!
Thanks Ian and Amner for your help - much appreciated. Hopefully this might be of help to other SBS-1 users trying to connect to FR24.

It works because the FR24 feeder utility gets it data direct from the SBS and BaseStation from the feeder. The feeder data is available via TCP/IP so BaseStation must be set to
Data Source -> Network.
The feeder data flow is similar to SBS1Client, I assume also written by Piotr.
The Manual could be improved. I had to dig deep to find the solution.
Anmer,
Thanks for the clarification. I agree the FR24 manual could be a lot clearer - I will contact them to suggest a few improvements for SBS-1 users.
