Radarspotting

Evening all...a friend of mine has just installed sbs-1 on to his new laptop
and copied his settings over along with the ftd2xx.dll   
but it will only install to the virtual file , He has tried to install to c;/program/kinetic/basestation.....
to no avail
so he tried to run it from his virtual folder , on opening  the sbs link  it loads then only list hexcodes
he has set the registrations via tabs column . but nothing populating via sqb file..
any ideas ????

He should be able to copy all the files to a new file location such as C:\Kinetic, assuming he has all the relevant files from the other PC.

The dll can go into the BaseStation folder.

morning ..my friend has copied the files in to his c:/program files  and hasnt resolved the issue
i am at a total loss as this should have sorted it out...i tried to use teamviewer to access this machine and it wouldn't connect ...and i cannot physically get to him as he lives down in bournemouth
i'm up in manchester ...times running out for him as he is due to go to asia for two months..
any other ideas ..

Tell him to create a new folder C:\Kinetic.

Ask him to download, unzip and install the latest version of BaseStation, selecting the new folder and not the (offered) default location.

Connect the SBS-1 and go through the setup.  Once it's installed and running, let us know and we can then look at copying over the old files.
