Title: Amsterdam Pile-up

Lot of planes circling north weat of Amsterdam (Lelystad)

Looking at FR24 their not much action on the runways.
With PH-KZO is blocking the east-west runway.

Any ideas whats going on ?

Could be. The latest METAR for Schipol say patches of fog and 400m visibility.
But things seem to be normalising again.

Maybe an aircraft took longer to clear a runway?

The main problem was indeed the fog. That prohibited the usage of 2 landing runways at that time which caused a large backlog because the fog had cleared up earlier, allowing for a bit more arrivals.
