Hi all,
Have been running SBS-1 with AD Pro/PlanePlotter on my laptop, which is running Windows 7 (64),left it running overnight, and was faced with the above message, when i got up.Closed everything down and re started, and all was fine.It has never done that when running on my desktop, and all settings, versions etc are the same.
Is it anything to worry about?.
Regards,
David.
Did you have anything else running?
Hi Mike,i also have ModeS Logger running for the Mil stuff, thats also on both machines.
I did get a Task Host? flash up,when i shut the laptop down, but didn't have time to read it.
Thanks David
Has it happened since, running the same applications?
It has happened a time or two before, although now it probably won't get used again until next Easter,as i only use it when in my caravan. Just seems strange that it doesn't happen on the desktop, only the laptop.
David.
Thanks David.
Howe much memory do you have in the laptop compared to the desktop?
Desktop shows Installed Memory 4.00 GB (3.90 GB Usable),
Laptop shows Installed Memory 4.00 GB (3.86 GB Usable).
David.
I was expecting much less on the laptop.
It sounds like you have something else running in the background on the laptop or one of the apps is doing some heavy catchup.
If it happens again, check Task Manager to see if something is grabbing lots of memory.
Cheers Mike.May be a while before i can run it again, but thanks.
David.
This is the message i keep getting, roughly around 12hrs after starting Basestation.

David, Mike,
This is the exact same problem I had on my laptop with vista just over a year or two ago, the fix for me was increase the RAM (£20 and a youtube vid) and decrease the basestation sqb size. I also now run as little as possible to avoid the congestion - my biggest space taker now is firefox .
Smudger.
What operating system are you using? And how many operator flags/silhouettes do you have?
If that was for me Anmer-- then Vista on a very old ACER with 9300 flags and the sqb size is 46,000kb..

That's a lot of bmp files. Maybe think about adding some extra memory?
Think i will Mike.Cheers.
