Radarspotting

Have been lurking here for the past three years or so but never posted anything until this evening.

I do a lot of aircraft monitoring in this area and, as a ham, am active on our local nets. Have been retired for over 11 years, but like a lot of other retired folks, I seem to be busier now than I was when I working 60-80+ hour weeks at my full time job.  ;D

So, to enter the raffle we need to provide three reasons for sharing flight data with FlightAware and a suggestion.

My reasoning for sharing flight data is as follows:

• The more monitors we have in any area, the better the coverage is. This is especially true in remoter/rural areas with smaller populations.
• As we increase the volume of flight data inputs, we get a more consistent coverage worldwide.
• And lastly - it's a fun hobby that anyone with an Internet connection can participate in!

And a suggestion:

• Keep challenging the Radarspotting membership to bring in new members and thus, by doing so we automatically grow the population of monitors and coverage.
