I suppose this is an "open" question to Chris Taylor (forum member Chris-GOWTZ (http://radarspotting.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=80)) of Kinetic's Worldwide Distributor, Taylor Made RF Limited.

There's an announcement on the Kinetic website (http://www.kinetic.co.uk/Trilby.php) about something called the Trilby Hat. There was a countdown clock which implied an announcement on "functionality and pricing" when it timed out. The countdown ended last weekend but no announcement. The website implies the Trilby Hat will be a Raspberry Pi/SDR combo package.

However, I notice that the Taylor Made RF Limited website is showing both the SBS-3 (http://www.tmrf.co.uk/product/kinetic-avionics-sbs-3/) (all packages) and 1090 Puck (http://www.tmrf.co.uk/product/kinetic-avionics-1090-puck/) as either "Available on Backorder" or "Out of Stock". It's been like this for quite some time.

So my questions to Chris are:

Will you be stocking the SBS-3 and 1090 Puck again and if so, when?
When will the Trilby Hat be available and at what price and functionality?

Silence may tell its own story?

The Tribly HAT is there, but it has nothing to do with ADS-B, ACARS or AIS.

I believe, Kinetics products should be considered as unavailable for the future and the pipeline being empty.

Hi Andy

Since I made the post, Chris Taylor has joined Moonraker and, to the best of my knowledge, has no direct involvement with Kinetic. I don't think he's moderating its forum either.

Nor did he respond to my post?

However, I did see an announcement before Christmas that Moonraker has a new supply of SBS-3. Possibly the last batch?

At GBP £549 it's got some stiff competition from the likes of FlightAware's Pro Stick at under GBP £14.95. Mine outperforms my SBS-3.

Looks like the cheap Made-in-China Dongle is slowly killing one supplier after another.

Does anyone know if TaylormadeRF still trades? I was looking for an external antennae and cant access his website.
