Title: 2 receivers?
Post by: DutchmanII on February 01, 2012, 09:45:06 AM
Hi there,

can someone explain to me why there are versions of the beast with one, two and even three frontend receivers?
Are there more than one operating frequencies?

Would like to know.

My understanding is to allow more than one antenna to be used and output merged data.

Some may have directional antenna or live in a high rise block with an antenna on different sides of the building.

Yes, if you look here:

You can see two antennae connected and note that the other 2 receivers (in the 4 channel model) can also be connected to other antennae.

The 2 channel setup would allow you to use a big colinear and fill in the losses due to donut effect with second antenna
just got a price for fitting 2nd channel of 90€, i think i'll pass on that
