Hi, I'm Mike. I've been an avid plane spotter for over 50 years. My interest was sparked when I lived in a street adjacent to Croydon airport. All DH Doves and Herons and Transair Dakotas (Pre British United Airways) I also used to frequently see Douglas Bader in his little Piper.
Nowadays I live in East London, with a perfect view of everything that enters and holds on the Lambourne beacon, on it's way into Heathrow.
I use 'Planefinder' on my iPhone and iPad and 'FlightRadar24' on my iMac. Plus a Uniden scanner.
I don't get out much to airports anymore. I don't really need to, where I live.
Welcome Mike, thanks for joining us and for your introduction.
Welcome to the fun factory Mike..
