I wasn't able to access the Kinetic forum all day Friday so Ian wasn't the only one.

I've  just tried again this morning at 06.27 UK BST and still can't get through.  That's the Kinetic website and forum.

Maybe the logs don't tell the whole story?

C'mon Chris, read the posts.  There's something wrong.

I learnt many years ago not to assume that if I could connect everyone else could too.

Try a different PC and a different ISP.

I'm now 200 miles further south using a different ISP and still I can't connect.  Maybe the DNS is messed up or you've blocked an ISP range at the domain?

Mike I have read the posts and I and four people I have called can get access however I have had a call from a customer who works for Talk Talk and they are saying open reach have a lot of issues today

see this status page http://www.talktalk.co.uk/service-status/

I am not saying there is not an issue just struggling to see it

When I leave the restaurant I will see what i can do

Cheers

Yours is the only website I can't access and I've been on loads in the past 2 days.

The impression I got was "I can get on so there's no problem".  That's all.

Hi,

I can't access Kintetic's site either, so there is definitely an issue somewhere.

I'm not taking sides, but as it's a Bank Holiday weekend and as Chris has said he's been out with family I don't think it's unreasonable to wait a day or two for more information and a resolution.

Have a happy weekend everyone (I'm working unfortunately!).

Cheers,

Keef.

Got your email Chris, tried the link, same issue as yesterday - The connection has timed out

The server at www.kinetic.co.uk is taking too long to respond.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.

Cheers.

No luck here either.

But Kinetic says everyone else can connect OK.  Apparently it's only those of us who try and post here that can't.  ;)

Definitely down.

http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/www.kinetic.co.uk

I was in Singapore over the weekend and could not reach the site at all. Now I am in Bangkok and I cannot reach the site at all. Connecting to it via a German or American VPN cannot reach the site either, plus http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/www.kinetic.co.uk says it's unreachable from their servers, too. So there's no two ways about it: Something is amiss. Seeing as they checked the server from their end it could be some rogue DNS records or an ISP routing issue.

Thanks for the update and Welcome to Radarspotting.com.

Kinetic used to run its own servers so my money's on a DNS problem.

Has there been any explanation given for the outage?

I haven't seen one and I'm the curious type!

Thanks Ian,

It'd be nice if Chris, or anyone from Kinetic, gave us an explanation.

They could do it here or on their own site, either (or both!) would be good  :)

Cheers,

Keef.
