Kinetic Forum and Site
Are down today 4/6/12 for maintenance and upgrades
Regards
Still down at 16.00 hours UK BST.
Kinetic website back at 18.00 UK BST. Forum has SQL error.
I hope the Queen has time to view the website.
Forum back 18.15 UK BST.
Kinetic site has been down since mid afternoon today
Ian I checked the logs all looks OK to me
I was in and out of it all day today checking some bits with no issue
Can you get in now?
I wasn't able to access the Kinetic forum all day Friday so Ian wasn't the only one.
I've just tried again this morning at 06.27 UK BST and still can't get through. That's the Kinetic website and forum.
Maybe the logs don't tell the whole story?
Same here Mike...no access
John
Thanks John, others are reporting the same.
Back to the drawing board Chris?
I'm still getting the message "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to www.kinetic-avionics.co.uk"
Me too Ian.
Chris is OK though :-\
The server at www.kinetic.co.uk is taking too long to respond.
I just get timed out..
Tested on IE "Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to www.kinetic-avionics.co.uk"
Tested on Firefox " Network Timeout"
I can't connect to the Kinetic site either.

C'mon Chris, read the posts. There's something wrong.
I learnt many years ago not to assume that if I could connect everyone else could too.
Try a different PC and a different ISP.
I'm now 200 miles further south using a different ISP and still I can't connect. Maybe the DNS is messed up or you've blocked an ISP range at the domain?
Mike I have read the posts and I and four people I have called can get access however I have had a call from a customer who works for Talk Talk and they are saying open reach have a lot of issues today
see this status page http://www.talktalk.co.uk/service-status/
I am not saying there is not an issue just struggling to see it
When I leave the restaurant I will see what i can do
Cheers
Yours is the only website I can't access and I've been on loads in the past 2 days.
The impression I got was "I can get on so there's no problem". That's all.
I have your PM Chris but am unable to view it ::)
Hi,
I can't access Kintetic's site either, so there is definitely an issue somewhere.
I'm not taking sides, but as it's a Bank Holiday weekend and as Chris has said he's been out with family I don't think it's unreasonable to wait a day or two for more information and a resolution.
Have a happy weekend everyone (I'm working unfortunately!).
Cheers,
Keef.

Got your email Chris, tried the link, same issue as yesterday - The connection has timed out
The server at www.kinetic.co.uk is taking too long to respond.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
Cheers.
I too have had a notification email that I have a PM on the Kinetic forum but I can't access it to view the message.
I have just tried www.kinetic.co.uk and Oops! Google Chrome could not connect
Been down for over 2 days now......... becoming a bit tiresome.
Tim
I'm trying to connect to the Kinetic website again today...still no joy :(
No luck here either.
But Kinetic says everyone else can connect OK. Apparently it's only those of us who try and post here that can't. ;)
Definitely down.

I was in Singapore over the weekend and could not reach the site at all. Now I am in Bangkok and I cannot reach the site at all. Connecting to it via a German or American VPN cannot reach the site either, plus http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/www.kinetic.co.uk says it's unreachable from their servers, too. So there's no two ways about it: Something is amiss. Seeing as they checked the server from their end it could be some rogue DNS records or an ISP routing issue.
I'm unable to reach it too.
Likewise.
Thanks for the update and Welcome to Radarspotting.com.
Kinetic used to run its own servers so my money's on a DNS problem.
Just got this when i tried to access the forum..!!
XML Parsing Error: unexpected parser state
Location: jar:file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/chrome/toolkit.jar!/content/global/netError.xhtml
Line Number 329, Column 58: <div id="ed_netInterrupt">&netInterrupt.longDesc;</div>
---------------------------------------------------------^
http://www.ears-gb.com also seems to be down. Chris is also Mod. on this site and it's probably on the same system.
Kinetic websites and forum now back online.
The Kinetic sites are now up & open to the rest of the planet and not just for the personal use of Mr Taylor and a very select few.. ;D
As Mario would say "Why is it always me?"
Has there been any explanation given for the outage?
I haven't seen one and I'm the curious type!
Cheers,
Keef.
No, nothing :(
Thanks Ian,
It'd be nice if Chris, or anyone from Kinetic, gave us an explanation.
They could do it here or on their own site, either (or both!) would be good :)
Cheers,
Keef.
