Let's hope they maintain their superb service to and from Belfast City - usually on time and very many flights actually arrive early. Very friendly and obliging aircrew and groundcrew.

Well, British Airways actually, of which Willie is no longer CEO. That's why AIG have paid all that money for BMI. It's called business. BMI was a disastrous acquisition for Lufthansa, losing money hand over fist, so someone had to buy it. Virgin didn't put up so Branson had to shut up.

I don't think
bmibaby has any Heathrow slots?
My mistake Mike, they only use Stansted
BMI had the slots.
IAG is buying BMI.
bmibaby and bmi Regional are not part of the deal.

The article states
Castle Donington airline group BMI, which owns the business, announced yesterday that it had signed a preliminary deal and that the sale would include all staff, aircraft and routes operated by bmibaby.
Don't dispute it but IAG isn't the buyer in that deal.
IAG doesn't want bmibaby or bmi Regional.
You are correct, Mike. IAG has asked Lufthansa to sell bmibaby and sister airline BMI Regional before the larger takeover is completed at the end of March.
