Sorry for my lousy Spelling.
I have a problem with my SBS1er, and maybe somebody have an idea how to proceed.
After years of operation wit out problems the SBS is not reachable via LAN anymore.
The SBS1er is also not answering Ping requests.
The Yellow Ethernet (LAN) Led is off.
I changed (to test the SBS) from LAN to USB Connection and it works.
Searching the Forum i found a recommendation to Reset the Lantronix interface.
From Anmer i received Instructions and an Utility to Rest the Lantronix Interface to Default.
I was hoping to cure the Problem.
But nothing changed, the Ethernet is not communicating with the SBS.
Now i am convinced that the Lantronix Interface is Faulty.
The LEDs from the SBS Lan connector are Flashing (Green and Orange).
The SBS Power LED is on, and the 4 Blue Signal Leds are on.
Any Recommendations?

What's your local network address range?
I am using an Xp-Pro Laptop for the testing.
There is no other Network component involved.
The connection is made by an LAN cross connection cable to the SBS.
Using a standard 1:1 LAN cable makes no difference.
My Laptop is configured to (ipconfig):
IP: 192.168.1.10
Mask: 255.255.0.0

Do you mean "crossover"? The Ethernet cable should be "straight":

To reset the Lantonix using the utility:
Unzip to a new folder and then with the SBS connected to the PC via Ethernet run LantronixUDP.exe.
With the SBS-1eR connected via Ethernet:
Click on Query Firmware count to ten
Click on Query Setup Record count to ten
Click on Broadcast Config count to fifteen
Click Cycle devices
Your SBS-1eR should now be reprogrammed to 192.168.1.170 port 10001.
Does the Ethernet port show any LED activity when using the utility?
If it does, you should be able to ping 192.168.1.170, assuming that the Ethernet port on the SBS-1eR is OK.
Without cable connected to the SBS the right LED flashes (1sec. interval) alternating between Orange and Green.
Cable (straight) between Laptop and SBS the right LED flashes Orange, Green and the left LED Green.
(The sequence is right Orange right Green and left Green)
During execution of your Program I cannot observe any difference in the flash sequence.
The right LED flashes first Orange the Green then off and the right Green LED goes on then off and the sequence starts again.
There is no response Pinging the SBS (Ping 192.168.1.170).
There is no response on the Browser at 192.168.1.170.
The Front panel of the SBS shows left Power LED (red) on and 4 Signal LEDs (blue) on.

Try running the utility one more time, as posted in my earlie email. Make sure you unzip the file first.
I deleted the directory containing your Routine.
I extracted your Program to an new Directory.
I executed as you described it (incl. the pauses between the steps).

Maybe your SBS-1eR Ethernet module has failed?
Did the SBS-1eR stop connecting by Ethernet without anything being changed?
The utility has been used many times and this is the first report of it not working.
Well my system was running now over years and stopped 2 days ago.
I suspected something wrong with the Lantronix .
Trying to connect to the Lantronix did not work.
So I wanted to start from scratch and reset the Interface to default.
This is also not working, so the Lantronix must by faulty.
Have you tried connecting the Ethernet cable to your router?
It was conected via my Router til the outage.
The SBS1 dit not appeared anymore on my Router IP status page.
I suspected that maybe somthing went wrong on the IP configuration of the SBS1.
Then i tried to access the sbs1 via Browser (on the configured IP: 192.168.178.222) what not worked.
Then i conected the SBS1 directly to my XP Test-Laptop and tried to access the SBS1 via Browser (on the configured IP: 192.168.178.222) what not worked.
Then i suspected that something on the Lantronix configuration went bad.
I found your reset utility in this forum, and I was hoping to reset the Lantronix to factory default, maybe would help, but without success.
If you still want my to put an Router or Switch between the SBS1 and the XP-Test Laptop, please let me know.

It sounds like the Ethernet module on the SBS has failed.

Hello to all, here comes an Update:
after the Ethernet port failure i configured my SBS1er to communicate via USB (worked fine, til last week).
The USB LED form the SBS started Flashing, and my WinPC was connecting and disconnecting the USB to SBS port.
It came to my attention that my Radio-controlled Wall Clock and also my direct decoding NIXI Clock have been out of syn.
Other Radio-controlled Clocks in my house are working fine (i use the DCF-77 Station on 77.5Khz).
So i suspected some RF Interference caused by one of my Equipments.
I digged up an old AM Radio (on LW) and walked around my Equipments.
Cumming closer to the SBS1er the noise increased dramatically.
I disconnected the Power supply from the SBS and the Interference disappeared.
I measured the output-voltage from the Power-supply, whiteout Load = 12.2V
So lets measure more realistic connecting Resistors to Simulate real work conditions:
Load 50mA with 240 Ohm = 11.6 V
Load 100mA with 120 Ohm = 9.1 V
Load 193mA with 62 Ohm = 7.2 V
Then i used my Lab Power-supply to feed the SBS and that SBS operated normal.
What if the Ethernet port was also failing due the bad Power supply ?
I connected the SBS via Lan to my Router, removed the USB Connection and Reseted the SBS.
From the Browser (using my Initial SBS IP-Address) i could directly connect to the Lantronix module.
Reconfiguring Basestation to use LAN connection and everything was back to Normal.
Interesting is that there was no difference in the brightness of the SBS LEDs.
The faulty AC/DC Adapter AVM04047 12V 1.2A was made in Maroco for AVM (the Manufacturer of the Fritz Routers).

I guess the SBS-1er power supply wasn't the official Kinetic version?
on the contrary,
this was the original Power supply delivered by my German Supplier for Kinetic Avionics products (THICOM Bremen in 2011).
I guess as an replacement for the original to fit the German Power sockets.
I suspect that some
electrolyt capacitors (after about 7 years of no stop operation) have dried out and thus caused this faulty image.
In my experience, such power supplies fail completely.
