Interesting.

Maybe this explains the offer of "free" RadarBoxes?

The other things that spring to mind are:

1. Will it be free to use?

2. Will there be paid for and free phone apps?

3. Must one "register" to use it and provide a contact email address?

4. Has this development been done at the expense of fixing outstanding RadarBox bugs and releasing new features?  But it may explain why the "equatorial black hole" was fixed!

5. Yet another reason why RadarBox data sharing is turned on by default.

Both Flightradar24.com and Planefinder.net are already well established.  How will AirNav differentiate itself?

My guesstimations in order:

1. No it won't.  Brandao must have lost a small fortune on Ship Trax, this will be yet another way of getting an income source to fund his lifestyle.
2. I'll bet my last penny there won't be any free apps available, all will need to be paid for.
3. I'm guessing you will have to register because of answer number 1.
4. You can bet your sweet bippy it is.
5. You've already said it.

How Air Navs attempt will differentiate itself from the rest is anyones guess.  I only hope they don't use the servers they are using now to provide the information!

Yet again Air Nav are years behind everyone else.  Ship Trax missed the boat (no pun intended) as there were already some great apps available to track ships and here we are again launching something 'new' when you have apps for Planefinder and Flight Radar24 doing a great job.

Is this latest folly the reason behind why no development has been carried out on Radarbox for the last months?

No mention of this "activity" on the AirNav Forum though there are at least two beta testers!

Still using my silhouettes  >:( >:(

You would think by now that they would have found some other way of displaying aircraft, what about Rod Bearden's photo silhouettes ?

They have!!   I think the basic monochrome silhouettes are only used on the Aircraft Type filter.  There are much better silhouettes used on the main displays.

Threaten to sue Brandao and send Roman's "boys" around.

Seriously, didn't you once say he doesn't have your approval to use them other than for RadarBox?

Post by: Ian K on June 12, 2012, 04:54:46 PM
He has approval to use with Radarbox software, download & on CD but I reckon if I queried it he would say that, because the data is coming from Radarboxes it is all part of the same package.
Worth thinking about though.

This is a new application and I suspect a Court would find in your favour, especially if this product wasn't mentioned at the time of your agreement.

But it's your call and lawyers make nearly as much money as Chelsea footballers.  ;)

My guess is it's been deliberately removed to avoid anymore public scrutiny in advance of the formal release and price list  ;)

I see the domain was registered in November 2010.  AirNav works fast.

You can see it coming cant you............

radarbox24, "the only reliable flight tracking site on the net- Run by professional pilots and volunteers"

They are nothing but a bunch of plagiarists.........Incompetent at that

You missed a bit:

"Leadership in Flight Tracking"

Brave claim when one considers that the "leading" aircraft tracking websites were launched years ago.

Radarbox, ShipTrax and now RadarBox24.com are all way behind the curve.  Don't see too much "leadership" with these?
Title: Re: RadarBox24.com - Coming Soon.
Post by: Smudger98 on June 13, 2012, 09:32:03 AM
Leadership is "organizing a group of people to achieve a common goal". The leader may or may not have any formal authority. Students of leadership have produced theories involving traits,[2] situational interaction, function, behavior, power, vision and values,[3] charisma, and intelligence, among others. Somebody whom people follow: somebody who guides or directs others.

Do any of the above apply to the RB Boss..!!

Some more photos from RadarBox24.com Beta page

RadarBox 24 is an integrated solution powered by AirNav Systems flight data network. - Web browser - the page you are visiting - radarbox24.com - iPhone / iPad / Android - to be released in the end of 2012 - Windows - AirNav Live Flight Tracker (link) and more aviation solutions com link - ADS-B receiver: AirNav RadarBox Pro / 3D

Someone from the RadarBox24 beta team should "Spell check" the about page.  Before AirNav Systems release it in September, 2012.  ???
Since the AirNav Systems solutions are developed by real aviation professionals (airline pilots, engineers and air traffic controllers)  ::)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is ADS-B? Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (also called ADS-B) is a system by which aircraft constantly broadcast their current position and altitude, category of aircraft, airspeed, identification, and whether the aircraft is turning, climbing or descending over a dedicated radio link. What is RadarBox AirNav RadarBox is an Ads-B receiver developed by AirNav Systems. it is currently the world's best selling and most advanced Real Time Virtual Radar. It was deisgned by Professional Pilots and the first and only ADS-B receiver with a presence in space.  por links para space etc em tudo How does RadarBox 24 work? Every RadarBox receiver is designed to share real-time flight data to AirNav Systems servers. Data comes from thousands recivers from all over the world and is processed (at an amazing rate of over 20 million messages oer day). this data is then used in several aviation solutions (airlines, airorts and airspace companies) but also aviation enthusiasts. RadarBox24 allows you to access this data in web browsers and mobile solutions (iPad, Iphone and Android devices). Does RadarBox24 cover the United States? Yes. AirNav Systems receives flight data directly from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) radar systems and is allowed to display this data on flight tracking devices. RadarBox24 is the first ADS-B flight tracker simultaneously showing ADS-b and FAA radar data. What other regions are covered? Virtually you will track flights where a RadarBox reeiver exists. We currently cover most of Europe, the US and major aviation hubs all over the world. Check our real-time coverage map here (LINK aqui). Want to increase coverage? Click here Why RadarBox24 - there are already other similar sites/apps available? - AirNav Systems solutions are developed by real aviation professionals (airline pilots, engineers and air traffic controllers) - RadarBox24 was developed on a real world aviation environment. - Its the only existing ADS-B network where every part of the system has been developed by the same comapny - data integrity and quality is guaranteed. - AirNav Systems supplies airlines, airports and aerospace comapnies with the same data you see in your RadarBox24 screen. - Picture - ADS-B receivers: AirNav RadarBox Pro and AirNav RadarBox 3D Streaming software: AirNav RadarBox Windows Software Server software: AirNav flight Data Engine running H24 and procesing over 20 million ADS-B messages daily for the last 5 years
