Title: Any ideas
Post by: BigRed on June 15, 2012, 09:03:18 AM
Would anyone know if you disconnect a Elad power amp from back of SBS3 and reconnect if you also need to disconnect and reconnect antenna from antenna base like the kinetic pre-amp?

In my case my Elad after doing some maintennace doesnt seem to be recieving as it was....

Also are the blue lights indicative of the pre-amp working as it seems to be the case on my other SBS3???

Thank you.

I've had my Elad preamp for 6 years and had numerous power disconnects and it always kicks in again without needing to remove and reconnect anything at the antenna end.

In my experience the blue SBS-1/3 lights don't change with or without the preamp but for those with less aircraft it may do.

Cam which antenna are you using?
There can be an issue with the Elad style of amp and some antennas
