Title: SBS Problem.
Post by: balloonie on October 31, 2018, 09:00:45 AM
Hi All.

Wonder if anyone can assist with this problem that has appeared on both of my laptops.

This one I am on at the moment is a Toshiba on W8 and Aerodata/SBS1.

I am connected between with junction magic/Basestation analyser, every thing is showing up ok except that the screen will not differentiate between seen and unseen. When I open Basestation/Options I get the list of aircraft, Red and Blue, so that works fine, I have frames/paintscrapes ticked. But it seems to take out all the scrapes that I have seen as frames where it should leave the scrapes as unseen.

Does that make sense?

Welcome.

I'm not sure I understand the problem and where you're seeing it (or not).

Can you post a screen capture showing the problem as you see it?

Would have no idea how to do a screen capture, sorry.

That would not show the problem though. The problem is that I cannot get SBS to show wanted paint scrapes. Take N76823 MD82 as an example it was seen as that but also comes up as seen as UR-CBO. SBS seems to class frames seen as frames also seen as scrapes even when not.

The SBS is just a radio receiver.  It receives aircraft messages identified by a hex code.  The message doesn't include a registration or aircraft type.

What software are you using that has the problem?

balloonie,

The problems you describe are nothing to do with the SBS or BaseStation.

They are all caused by the Aerodata BSA. There are maillists that provide support for BSA and Aerodata database. You should have been sent those details when you purchased BSA.

I would check your database for UR-CBO just to check though.

Hope it helps,

Paul

Thank you both for the help, will try Aerodata again. I did post the problem on there a while back and got no real response.

Where do you see the problem?  Is it in BaseStation?
