Over the last week or so there are growing reports of China's Radio Authority confiscating FR24 receivers and associated equipment.

The legal position is vague and rumour implies the crackdown is being driven by VariFlight (http://flightadsb.variflight.com/index/index), China's alternative (and some say "rip-off") of FR24. Or a Chinese reaction to recent trade tariffs?
Rumours suggest FlightAware and AirNav will suffer a similar fate.
It will be interesting to see how this develops.
Maybe VariFlight hosts outside China will turn off their feeds in protest?
