I appreciate that FD is a bit long in the tooth and has been unsupported for some time  but I still use it primarily for the Alert function but recently it self closes on a regular and frequent basis and flags up this error message:-
"There have been more than 10 internet look ups.Press start  button to resume look ups."
Can anybody enlighten me as to what this means and are there any known fixes?

Sounds like one of your lookups is failing, either because the script is no longer valid or the remote service isn't available.

What lookups do you have?

Thanks Graham.

I think there's an FD error log that notes which service is failing.  Check the FD folder.

Sorry Graham, I don't use FD these days and don't have it installed.

It's 10 years since I was last involved with FD.

There should be a Help file available from within FD.

I am certian there's a log file.  Check the menu in FD, is there a tab called "Log Files"?

Graham

Try disabling and re-enabling each lookup, one-by-one.  You should find the culprit.

Just an update on this hiccup as Mike suggested I have restricted the look up sites to just one and all seems to have settled down and I can rely on the alert feature with confidence!.Thank you Mike for your valued input.
