Hi
PlanePlotter version 6.4.9.4 is on the web site now.
http://www.planeplotter.com#download

---Usual boilerplate---
Updates are free to registered users.
You may need to exercise your browser Refresh function to force it to show you the new version of the PlanePlotter web page. If you post a message complaining that the web site is still pointing to an earlier version, you pay a forfeit!
You can install the new version over the old one but you *must* close/exit PlanePlotter before installing the new one. Your settings will be preserved. Nic's installer will warn you if PlanePlotter is still running when you try to install the new version.
If you have a version-specific firewall (eg Zone Alarm), you may have to reassure it that the new version is permitted to access the Internet. Be aware that an increasing number of security systems treat any new file as a threat without any justification except that it is new. Please don't write to me about it; write to your security system provider and ask them to make their program smarter.
-----------
New in version 6.4.9.4
The Auto refresh map/chart feature now operates if the map is moved by local GPS input updating the "home location" when "Centre chart on home location" is enabled in Options..Chart..Options.
Note that the default refresh time is 5 seconds, intended to be the time after dragging the map/outline using the cursor, that the chart will be refreshed.
If the movement is provoked by a GPS in a moving vehicle, then fifteen minutes might be a more reasonable refresh time to avoid the program continuously downloading a new map every five seconds, which would probably freeze PlanePlotter.
Please don't use this feature if you are a validated Ground Station.  The server sends us an email alert if the location of a validated Ground Station changes. That could be a lot of emails if you are travelling with the system running.
There are eight new user-selectable options under Options..Fonts and colours..Chart annotation colours.
These options allow you to select the colours used for the boundary of an alert zone, the ring around an aircraft triggering an alert, the ring around the designated aircraft, the ring around the aircraft specified for the simulated flight deck view, the boundary of a user-defined frequency zone, the concentric rings around an aircraft that triggers an "ident", the ring (not currently implemented) around an aircraft defined as interested, and the optional range rings.
Enjoy!
