Good news.

http://www.kinetic-avionics.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14574

The latest version of Basestaion is available on the Estore as an EXE

This is for the SBS-3 users but it will work with all models

BaseStation v165 1. Re-sizeable SDR control panel
The control panel can now be resized and has scroll bars. BaseStation remembers the size and position of the panel on shut down.
2. Saving settings on shut down
BaseStation now saves the current settings (such as frequency and squelch) for the tuners, SDR channels and audio mixer on shut down.
3. Presets
The preset buttons from the SBS-1eR control panel have been implemented. They appear in the pop-up frequency entry panel and operate on the SDR channel to the left of the panel.
4. Frequency lists
The frequency lists from the Internal Radio menu, toolbar button or radar screen pop-up menu can be used to set the frequency on the SDRʼs. It operates on the currently highlighted SDR channel on the control panel, although the control panel does not have to be visible to use this feature. If the SDR channel goes out of range of the 8MHz bandwidth of its associated tuner, the tuner will be adjusted to centre on the new frequency, making this a one-step operation.
5. Mute and volume up/down toolbar buttons
These toolbar buttons now operate on the master gain and mute controls of both the analog and digital channels at the same time.
6. Other
A spurious edit box has been removed on the SBS-3 hardware settings screen. Some messages referring to the SBS-1 have been changed.

Looking forward to the next one!

I don't think so but I'll test it tomorrow.  Friday is beer night.  ;D

I've just downloaded Basestation V.165 from the Kinetic eStore and the exe file is dated 13th January 2012?

Has this version been around that long and only just released?  Or do I have the wrong file?

Yes it is the correct one Mike just Beta testing took a while.
We had to be sure it was backwards compatible as well as SBS-3 compatible

I've just upgraded to 165 for my SBS-1eR and I can't see any problems with it so far.
Nothing new for my SBS-1er that I've found, but that was what I expected so I'm not complaining.

I've connected BaseStation via Multi-EM for v161 and that works OK, also a test of GS/MU functions in PlanePlotter (version 6.2.5.1) checks out OK.

The only other comment I have is under Help|About BaseStation it tells me that I'm running BaseStation version 1.2.3.165 and firmware version build 519.
It then goes on to tell me the latest versions are 1.2.3.155 and 517 respectively, not an issue but that's the only other thing I could find to say!

Cheers,

Keef.

That's been out of date for ages and Kinetic has been told many times.

It can.  You just have to save them.

Menu ->Radar->Save Radar Screen View

You can also save them as tabs.

Why oh why don't people read manuals... When in doubt RTFM!  ;D

Thank you for your 'helpful' replies. I have read the manual, thank you, but not everyone gets everything all the time.

Having said that, BS will not save my split screen setup(s) in their original sizes. Every time that I restart BS they (I have several split screen setups) never resume their last & *saved* size/position. Despite what your arrogant & ill informed post seems to imply.

Don't bother to reply as I will not me monitoring this helpful & friendly site anymore.

Well just in case you do look in again Syd, here's another couple of bits of helpful and friendly advice.

1. Explain the problem clearly and correctly and you will probably get the right answer.

2. Get a sense of humour. The grin icon meant the remark was lighthearted.  ;)
