Good afternoon
Does anyone on the forum repair SBS3s or know of anyone who does.
The ariel port on the unit is playing up, it's not making a good connection with the the plug on the ariel cable. I have to loosen the nut off slightly, before it picks up any aircraft.
I used to always have 4 blue lights on the unit, now I have 1 sometimes 2.
I suspect there is an issue with the units connector as it plays up on the 2 ariels I have.
Ideally I'd like a new connector, failing that could the ADR one be swapped over?
Thanks.

Try Chris Taylor at Moonraker.  Last time we spoke they were doing repairs.
Here to Help.

Hi Cloudwarrior,

I had a similar problem a couple of years ago with my SBS found the problem was a hairline fracture on the ariel port inside of the unit had to re solder it after that it was fine, not saying you have the same issue but it's worth taking a quick peek inside just to see if it's the same kind of problem.

Hilly..
