FD Problems - Setting up for SBS1 and Planeplotter

Hi Anmer, not sure if you can help with this one but I seem to be missing something in the set up routines!

I install the program and select the "SBS1 and PP" option. My Basestation is in the virtual store and I duly enter the path to the Basestation directory. I am then prompted to enter the path to PP and this is duly entered (my installation is in C:\COAA\Planeplotter).

This starts the program and I get the expected bar enabling me to Start. All is fine. However at this stage the program only responds to data selected in Basestation where right clicking on an aircraft shows the routing details as required being shown in the FD app.

However when I go to 'Opts' and to 'Options(1)' the Data Source is set to SBS-1. However when I change the radio button to Planeplotter I get an error that says "This installation of FlightDisplay has not been set up for operation with Planeplotter Please use the RESET button if you want this installation of FD to use Planeplotter". I click OK but am immediately presented with an error box that says "This installation of FlightDisplay has not been set up for operation with SBS-1 Please use the RESET button if you want this installation of FD to use SBS-1". Click OK and i get the Planeplotter error message, and so on.

The only way out is to kill the application through the Task Manager. So having correctly defined the paths in the initail set up routine the program either hasn't remembered them or is doing something different?

I have then uninstalled via Control Panel and have reinstalled afresh but each time I see the same result. I have followed the readme and the F1 help so unless I am missing something I simply cannot get the program to work correctly. Ultimately I want to use it with Planeplotter!

Any help would be appreciated. I am using Win 7, Basestation 168, PP 6.2.6.8

You appear to have installed FD correctly for PP use.

Can I do a remote connection at an agreed time and take a look with you?

I remote connected, removed and reinstalled FD and reset the paths.

At first the same problem arose but then everything worked OK.

I suspect there was an "out-of-sequence" process but can't be sure.

We'll monitor progress.
