I was using my SBS-1er to feed Flightradar24 until they decommissioned their Windows feeder software. I cannot remember exactly when they did it, but was a few years ago now.

I was also generating a daily ADS-B log of what aircraft were picked up.

Flightradar24 sent me one of their receiver units to continue feeding their system, so I packed the SBS-1 away.

Recently decided to get it going. However in the mean time I had switched to Mac, so I am using the ARM version of Windows 11 running through Parallels.

Getting Parallels set up was the easy bit.

Basestation would not run at first until I replaced ft2xx.dll. then the setup wizard could not find the SBS-1 at first which is connected via USB. Eventually it did find it and I got to the main radarscope screen, but it's not showing any aircraft.

There are three lights showing on the box. the red power light on the left, to the right of that is an orange light and towards the right of the box is a blue light that flashes on and off.

I have read others running Basestation on a parallels setup.

Welcome.

How is your SBS connected to the Mac?

What does it say about the connection at the bottom of your Basestation screen?

And do you know the IP address range of your local network?

The SBS-1er is connected through USB. I have noticed it says disconnected at the bottom.

the IP range on my network is 192.168.1.xxx (1 to 255).

Thanks.

Check Basestation -> Settings -> Data Source

Does it show "Use USB"?

If it does, do you have the SBS drivers loaded on the MAC?  I don't have a MAC so not sure where you can view installed USB drivers.

I am wondering about the drivers now you mention it.

I will source an ethernet switch and some cables later today and try using ethernet.
