Looks like my Kinetic SBS-1 has come to the end of it's life.

Been looking at the Airnav Flightstick to replace it.

Will this software work with it?.

It claims it does.  You will also need a Raspberry Pi with suitable software.

There are alternative DVB-T "sticks" you could consider though my RadarBox Flightstick works OK.

I have PiAware installed on my RPi and use it (with MLAT plots) to feed data to Basestation via ModeSMixer.  Works a treat and I get a free FlightAware Premium account..

By the way, how have you determined your SBS is defunct?

I dug out an old windows 7 laptop, and set it up outside and since I live near a GA airport where flight schools operate from. The larger school's aircraft are fitted with ADS-B and when there were aircraft flying overhead, was getting nothing.

Thanks.

Any lights on the SBS?

Did you re/install Basestation on the old laptop ot had it been installed before?

Yes software was newly installed.

Sounds like the SBS is working OK.

Do you have the USB drivers installed?

Yes I thought I did have the drivers installed.

Have you tried connecting via Ethernet as you mentioned in your post on another thread?

I have given up on the SBS-1 and I am trying the Airnav Flightstick.

I also have dug out an old windows laptop and trying that.

The FlightStick normally connects to a Raspberry Pi running appropriate software.
