Would anyone be able to make this one (FA5X) for the Dassault Falcon 50EX as the (generic?) black plane with light blue background please?

rikgale

Hello
There is no official ICAO Type code of FA5X (https://www.icao.int/publications/DOC8643/Pages/Search.aspx) - you can use the FA50 silhouette for this plane - https://radarspotting.com/forum/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=53742
You can either download this one and rename it to FA5X - or change your DB to use official ICAOType code FA50 for the Dassault Falcon 50EX.

Awesome, Thank you. I'll just use the FA50 silhouette as you suggested. I saw this one https://radarspotting.com/forum/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=44488 is why I was asking.

rikgale

PlaneBase software comes with some of it's own custom ICAO type codes - of which FA5X is one of them. Some content creators cater for them, some don't. :)

Good to know! I have inadvertently invested into the basic black on blue silhouettes with all of my searching for missing planes. I was trying to keep everything as consistent looking as possible...my OCD I guess. Those others are nice looking though. I suppose I could just download a different .zip collection into a new folder and change the path to it and see what happens. I might have to look into that and find out which has the most silhouettes in it to help cut down on my searching in the gallery for missing ones.

Your other option is to keep renaming some of the black on blue silhouettes to the custom ICAO type names as you did with the FA5X.
Off the top of my head the CL6? (where ? is any number) can all be represented with the CL60 image. There's not a massive number to do

You could download my zip files and SQB file.  The two match 100, so no more checking, changing OperatorFlag labels, nothing.  Just Plug n Play!

Sorry for the delay responding...been hectic at work. I just looked at your silhoutte file s92driver and it's 8 times larger than the silhouette folder I have going to VRS..lol. Very impressive collection you've obviously spent a ton of time on!  I downloaded it and redirected to it and it is slowly re-populating with yours, so it is working. As far as the .sqb file, do I have to relocate mine and them place yours in the same windows directory? I just don't want to mess anything up. I do have a copy of the original .sqb file though that I saved before even using and messing with it so I would have a backup.

Edit to add that I just saw you had a Word document included in the .zip answering my above questions. I am going to attempt to proceed with swapping to your .sqb.

Edit to the edit..I have your .sqb running and it's good to go. With exception to the operator logo's. The wording/file names of the .bmp's in the operator flag column of your database apparently doesn't match what they are in the folder I had been directing VRS towards,  so they aren't showing up. I tried a few other .zip files in separate folders and directing to those and still nada. The plane silhouettes are looking great though!!! I have also found a couple of country flags (Norway and Finland specifically) that aren't populating. Gotta go to bed to be up early for a two hour drive to a jobsite early in the a.m, so will have to wait to work on those items once I get back home. Thanks again for sharing all of your hard work!!

Ok, I woke up early for some reason, so before leaving for this job I played around with things and believe I have finally settled on this layout. I at least wanted to see the airline operators, whether it be logo or name, so this works fine for me. I would like to find something to fill in the Test Radar silhouette and operator cells in my list, but that will have to wait until later today. I saw on your VRS list you were showing the route, which I liked and hadn't thought of, so have now incorporated on my list as well. I also want to learn to update those as well, but it too will have to wait.

This is what I use for those
