Urania

Hello,
I have updated with the last firmware my SBS3 box.
The box is running when using the USB cable directly connected to my PC.
When connected to my USB charger (5V/2.1A) the box seems to work, the network on my switch is blinking, but it doesn't catch any IP number from the DHCP server.
The DHCP lease is OK.
Any ideas ?
Thx

The SBS-3 has a "fixed" IP address.  The default is 192.168.1.170.

It can be changed.  See Page 93 of the Reference Manual:

I must be blind today, I do not find the "non volatile memory setting" ....
In the settings of the basestation, I do have: display, data and hardware settings + data source, add on sdr puk ....

So I am able to change the IP number but it still doesn't show on my network.
The GW is ok, the IP is ok, there is a link. I cannot ping it too.
I have change the network cable without any change.
Ideas ?

Can I check that it is an SBS-3?

What is your local IP network address range and what have you set the SBS-3 IP address to?

Is the Ethernet cable connected from the SBS-3 to a router or switch?

Does this mean the allowed IP addresses are only between 192.168.206.0 and 192.168.206.24?

And how are you powering the SBS-3?

The SBS-3 always needs to be powered using the USB socket. If you are going to connect via Ethernet rather than USB, you will need to attach an external USB power supply. It is recommended that the external supply is rated at 2.0 Amp (2000 mA) or greater. When the USB port on the SBS-3 is connected to a PC (and the orange USB light is on indicating a USB data connection), the Ethernet interface on the SBS-3 is automatically turned off to save power. Therefore you cannot connect using Ethernet if the SBS-3 is connected via a USB cable to a PC.

made a mistake, it is /26 instead ... So it suppose to be from 206.2 to 206.62 ...
I have change the IP of my box to 206.61 ... still do not show :(

And has I said on my first post: USB charger (5V/2.1A)

Is the Ethernet cable OK?  And a patch and not crossover?

And you cannot ping the IP address?  Do you get a time out?

1)
I have connected the sbs3 via ethernet directly to my pc.
I was able to ping it. But no airplanes appeared.
2)
I have connected the sbs3 to my general network.
I am able to ping the sbs3.
Basestation is running and planes are appearing :)

Thx a lot for your support :)

Great, so the SBS-3 is showing on your network.

Have you set the Basestation Data Source to "Use Network"?

Settings -> Data Source ->Use Network

But maybe I misunderstood your last post?  Is everything now working OK?
