Hi,

I am trying to get VRS working on a MAC.

2020 Macbook model 2179
Core I3, 8Gb of RAM, 256Gb HDD
Running Ventura 13.4.1
Homebrew, Xcode installed

I have the GQRX SDR software installed. I am running a server for DeFli. This project gives you Defli tokens in exchange for ADSB data. My Defli server is running and I am sending information to the Defli site.    https://defli.network

So far, to get VRS working, I have;
Installed Mono 64-bit  6.12.0.200
Installed VRS Mono Tarball that is posted on VRS site (2.4.4)
Installed VRS Web Admin Plugin Mono Tarball
Installed VirtualRadar.exe.config.tar.gz (supposed to fix Mono 4 issue with VRS)

When I go to run the .exe, Mono quits and displays the following message:
"WARNING" The runtime version supported by this applications is unavailable.
using default runtime: v4.0.30319
WARNING: The Carbon driver has not been ported to 64 bits and very few parts of Windows.Forms will work properly, or not all all.

I am not a software engineer or developer. Looks like VRS and Mono 6.12 don't play together at all. From the warning messages, it looks to me like I have a "few" incompatibilities.

Should I give up? Any suggestions for a program like VRS that will run on a MAC with a current OS and current applications?

Thanks,
Ed

Welcome.  I don't have a Mac so can't help but hopefully others may be able to come to your aid?

Hi!
I got my VRS moved from Apple on amd64 to Apple M2 last week.
Use Mono version 6.0.0 or 6.4.0, version 6.12 gave me issues.
I have everything installed in "/opt/VirtualRadar/"
Find attached my startup scripts "vrs.sh" and the "VirtualRadar.exe.config" I am using.
See how things go from here with these files.
