PlanePlotter version 6.6.5.9 is on the web site now.

For Win XP platforms.  "www.coaa.co.uk/planeplotter6_6_5_9XP.exe" is available without the IPv6 feature.

Updates are free to registered users.
 
You may need to exercise your browser Refresh function to force it to show you the new version of the PlanePlotter web page. If you post a message complaining that the web page is still pointing to an earlier version, you pay a forfeit - unless I forgot to update the web page, in which case I pay a forfeit!
 
You can install the new version over the old one but you *must* close/exit PlanePlotter before installing the new one. Nic's installer will warn you if PlanePlotter is still running when you try to install the new version. Your settings from the previous installation will be preserved.
 
If you have a version-specific firewall or security system, you may have to reassure it that the new version is permitted to access the Internet. Be aware that increasingly, security systems treat any new file as a threat without any justification except that it is new. Please don't write to me about it; write to your security system provider and ask them to make their program smarter.

The remaining changes all relate to the Popup information window.  The layout of the Popup information window has changed from the previous versions to facilitate handling exceptional field sizes.
 
Updates in version 6.6.5.6
User defined text font, size and colour for popup window.  In Options..Fonts, there is a new option for the Popup window.  This enables you to choose the font and the size of the data for ease of reading.  Note that a fixed pitch font is recommended otherwise the size of the box may twitch around depending on the characters present. 
 
Updates in version 6.6.5.7
Restore popup window's user info option.  This was accidentally omitted from 6.6.5.6
 
Separate the Hide and Traditional options in the info popup dialog.  This makes it clearer that those two checkboxes do not relate directly to the new style popup window.
Try to normalise field widths in Popup window.  As noted above, this works better with a fixed pitch font.
 
Updates in version 6.6.5.8
Restore country flags in popup window.  Of course, you need to define the flag definition file for this to work.
Normalise metric altitude spacing in popup window.
 
Updates in version 6.6.5.9
Show country flags even if no weather data.  As the space for the country flag was at the end of the weather information line in the popup window, the flag was not previously shown if there was no weather data.  It now is.
