Good News!

It has been confirmed that the proposed £28bn merger between BAE Systems and EADS will not take place. While it had been clear for many days that talks between the British, French and German Governments over their equity stakes in the new entity were in difficulty, it later emerged the companies would not seek a time extension to a 5pm City deadline for agreement.
