From 'Papaknotty/Scramble Message Board:

From the first week of december up to summer schedule 2013 United will fly the B787-800 "Dreamliner" from Houston to Amsterdam. On Monday 15th October, in anticipation of the first commercial flight, a "testflight" and pilot handling is planned. This "testflight" with flight number UA017 will arrive at 12:30h.  The flight has no passengers on board, only crew, technical personnel, Boeing-staff and a delegation from the FAA. The machine will depart on Tuesday 16th October at 09:00h from the buffer with flightnumber UA018.

Thanks for the Heads Up.

I was up rather early this morning and around 6.45 UK Summer Time I caught Ethiopian's B787 headed north west over Wallasey.  On the radar that was.

Into Amsterdam is likely to be E from Manchester - bet it is cloudy and raining  ;).  Proboably next day as well.  >:(

But hopefully won't be doing that all 2013 summer.

United changed flt number into: UA7708 for the inbound flight AND outbound flight on the 16th.

And yes it's raining here a lot as well  >:(

And from 4 December we have a regular 787 flight so we will see it a lot.
