Hi All Have an sbs1 problem when connected to a Samsung Galaxy Book everything appears to be okay apart from not receiving data, no green light but red orange and 3/4 blues I have tried changing cables and lots of other things but do not seem able to rectify the problem. If anyone could help with some suggestions would be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance

Welcome Dave.

What operating system does the Galaxy Book run?

Dave P

It is Windows 11 64 bit.

Anmer

Thanks.  Is BaseStation installed on the Galaxy and how are you connecting to the SBS-1?  USB or Ethernet cable?

Should the base station folder be in VirtualStore if so how would I get it there?

It depends where you installed BaseStation.

Before I answer that in more detail, can you confirm that BaseStation launches OK and you can see aircraft on the map?

Dave P

It does not show anything on the map apart from my selections in the colours and things like that no aircraft at all.

Anmer

Thanks.

Did you install BaseStation on the Galaxy from a CD or did you copy files from elsewhere?

If you copied the files, what folder location did you copy them to?

OK, I'm going offline for the rest of the evening.

Your issue is possibly missing USB drivers.  If you copied the files, rename the BaseStation.ini file to BaseStationOld.ini.  Relaunch BaseStation and it should go through the setup and testing phase.  This should also install the USB drivers.  If not, I'm more than happy to do a remote session with you and fix the problem, at a mutually convenient time.

Sorry but I am a bit old school and all this tech info I find a bit confusing.

Dave P

And I am happy for you to do a remote look.

Anmer

No worries, that's why we're here to help.

I've sent you an email.

Just to close this thread.

Did a remote session and installed the latest BaseStation version form the CD file.  Also copied a recent copy of the FTD2xx.dll and ran BaseStation setup.  Swapping USB ports we eventually got the SBS-1 working with the new BaseStation install.
