On PP Yahoo Groups:

The latest version of PP is now avaialable from

http://www.coaa.co.uk/planeplotter.htm

Full release notes to follow

The main change is to allow the use of low level Mlat sectors which will be
rolled out in due course , once the majority of users have upgraded.

As always close PP down ...download the new version to hard drive , execute
the new version
from your hard drive , then once the software has unpacked , you should be
ready to go.

As a routine , I always close the new version once it has unpacked , then
run PP from my desktop shortcut...go to Help..about Planeplotter and make
sure that it indicates I'm running 6.3.1 , then finally after starting PP ,
if a GS , run the GS/MU test.

Blimey you're too quick for me Mike ! :)

A bit more about the low level sectors.

The idea is that these will be introduced around certain airfields to catch low level stuff.
The criteria for low level mlats can be slackened a little  as there should be more GS within a smaller area....however to avoid overflights being affected by the reduced "tolerance" levels , we will impose an upper height limit  of around 3-5000 feet.

Tests over the last few days have worked very well especially around zones such as RAF Shawbury where multiple rotary wing targets have been illuminated below 2000 feet.

I'm presently running  a test to the N of Heathrow which is picking up GA traffic down to about 600 feet.

Been running the SBS-3 with PP and Mlat for the past two months continuous and approved as ground station (UG)

Upgraded to PP version 6.3.1 and completed the network checks appears to be ok.

I would very much appreciate if Satcom could confirm my status and data is being shared  ;D

Appreciate the continued software development PP and the forum information, support  :)

Nice to be in a position to be able to share PP data via the network.

Now looking at VPN Tunnel so i can access PP and other machines when away with work, via internet secure connection.

Best Wishes
