hello all, i am finlay and i am relatively new here!
but im wondering how to use VRS, to track aircraft that aren't there, using custom data!
i know it seems rather stupid of me to ask, but im wondering if this can be done?

Welcome Finlay.

Is this question related to your first post?

Are you wanting to insert aircraft tracks for "ghost or spoof" aircraft and if so, may I ask, why?

it is related to that post anmer, as ghost aircraft would be fun to track!
the reason why?: you can track ghost aircraft as the were flown before the invention of ADS-B! like tornado F3s during 1988!

Thanks.

From where would you obtain the historical flight data precise enough to display on VRS?

the thing is anmer, i don't know how or where i'm going to get it!
but a tool could be included with this, that allows a user to input custom data, even without searching for it.
this could work in the following way:
the user enters an aircraft type, for example a B-47 stratojet, and if applicable picks a varaint of the aircraft!
then, they enter the departure Airbase or airport, for example Carswell AFB
then enter the arrival, for example RAF Fairford!
of course the B-47 never could fly that long without tanking, so you can also plan a flight for a KC-135 stratotanker to meet it over the atlantic to top it's tanks up!
but you can also enter rest stops for the aircraft to land at, before they continue to their destination!
then finally, the user enters the date and time of the departure, for example: 19th july 1962, 0400AM!

I'm not aware of any solution to your needs other than a flight simulation game.

If one entered just a start and end point, the flight would go in a staight line at 0 feet.  An ADS-B flight consists of different data segments, contstantly output to provide position, altitude, speed, heading etc.
