Hi al,
After sitting in a draw for about 5 years I decided to resurrect my 20 year old SBS 1e-. It was running on a Linx tablet which has now met its maker and the instillation CD has also gone AWOL. not to be defeated I went to the kinetic site to download from there but instantly came up against this error. Searhing the internet for a second hand disk I came across a thread in this forum regarding a google download, of course now Ive joined I cant find the  thread. Does anybody have any ideas of the way forward to get the box working again. I feel this may be a long process so hope you are all patient.

Welcome back  :)

Unfortunately your images can't be accessed, the link takes me to a image hosting site and invites me to buy a subscription.

All the BaseStation files are in our Software section.  I suggest you download the BaseStation 184 CD file and do a fresh install.

Please post back here if you need further help.

now downloaded  ;D  I have the basic map, I'm picking up aircraft (hex codes only) I've added Lat/ Long for home location. I guess I need an SQB file now? Does this link to the reporter?

Many thanks
Jeff

You'll already have an sqb file but it will be relatively empty and devoid of aircraft data to display registrations, types etc.  And OperatorFlag codes to display logos/silhouettes.

Reporter is a viewer/basic editor for the sqb file.

There's a pre-populated sqb file in the Downloads section but the OperatorFlag codes are linked to s92driver's logos.

This Guide may help.

Afternoon, I've found the base station program files

kinetic> Basestation

do I just drop S92drivers SQB into it, if so which folder?

Depends where you installed BaseStation.

If it was the default location it should be in Program Files (x86).  In which case the dreaded Virtual Store is where the "active" BaseStation.sqb is to be found.

Google "Virtual Store" to see how to find it.

Then replace the BaseStation.sqb file in the Virtual Store folder for Kinetic.

just had a quick look, the virtual store on my windows 10 PC doesn't seem to appear when pushing "windows + 3", I do remember reference to x86 files in my last installation over 10 years ago but cant remember how to get to them now :-(

Google:

"how to display the windows store virtual store"

You should get the first Search result showing as attached, where [Username] is the one for your Windows login.
