AirNav Stealing Our Data

As many will have discovered, the option to disable uploading your RadarBox data to the AirNav server gets defaulted back to "On" whenever the software is relaunched.

Personally I think this is at best misleading, at worst theft of our data and internet bandwidth.

More worrying is a (unverified) report from a RadarBox owner using the 4.04 beta release that unchecking the share option is ignored and data is always being uploaded to the AirNav server.

This may be a bug in the beta release but knowing AirNav as I do, I wouldn't put it past Brandao to do this deliberately.  He needs our data to sell and populate RadarBox24.com.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else using the 4.04 beta can verify if this report is correct.

Who is this RB owner with access to the 4.04 beta?  Not me!!  Ask them to verify the file size of the ANRB.exe file.

Can't verify at the moment, but I'll check next time I can run the 4.04 beta.

I am the victim of AirNav THEFT !

It is Version 4.04 Beta, software Version 2012/06/06, 02:44, firmware Version 02.03.1

It is the Version to " fix " the " equatorial bug " - where I CAN'T see any planes being TRACKED on 3 Deg N to 3 Deg S.

I am the only station in WSSS - after I unchecked " Share Flight Data ", I still see all the planes on RB24.com screen.

That is a very OLD version.  Latest v4.04 was released in November.  And I've just tested, and turning off sharing works in the beta, so that kills that rumour.

so that kills that rumour.

If it was a feature of the version being used by Birdie, it was fact not rumour.

C'mon Tarbat, stop defending the indefensible.

Birdie,
Can you try the latest 4.04 version Tarbat is talking about and see if the unclick share box is working correctly.

Those Losers & Lamers sent me this version when I complained not seeing any planes:

It is Version 4.04 Beta, software Version 2012/06/06, 02:44, firmware Version 02.03.1

I never get any release alert at all on the Nov 2012 version.

Where can I get it now ?

Now that AirNav RadarBox Servers were taken away by The Mayans on 21 Dec 2012 - the " end of the virtual aviation world " !

Looks like The Mayans were correct to predict the end of the world on 21 Dec 2012.

Hi Tarbat,

Can you please send me the V4.04 November 2012 version.

Those Lamers & Losers in AirNav have IGNORED my request - they don't even reply to my email !
