Basestation Error.

I seem to have a basestation error since the dongle install.. when i try an edit i m getting an error ii cant close or delete..

Every time i try to edit an aircraft display i get this error, I have tried to close BS an even re-booted the PC.. any help please..

What are you using to run the dongle? Does it access the basestation sqb?

Using SDR sharpe or SDR console for the radio and no.. it shouldn't touch BS in anyway.. ?

No Tom.. I don't use PP, the BS programs are fairly much stand alone..

It more than likely just a coincidence.. im have a major disc spring clean out.. see if making a bit more room makes any difference..

I get those messages whenever I'm using lots of applications that are sucking up the PC's memory.

Closing the browsers usually resolves it.

Not packed it for a while i must admit Chris..

Wont get the chance to try it until Thursday as i wont be home until then.. will let you know how it goes -also in the middle of clearing out and saving away lots of non aircraft related stuff..

Packed the DB for a try.. still getting the error.. seems to a rolling error.. where as in the end it just wont close..

When i reload BS - it takes about 5-10 edits then whamo.. square one ..

Anymore suggestions welcome.. the CPU issue is solved so its not that..

It's possible the database (Basestation.sqb) file is corrupted.

You could use an SQL utility, such as SQLite Expert Personal (free) to run a couple of checks?

Close Basestation, Reporter and SBS1 Populate.

Take a backup copy of the Basestation.sqb file.

Then, using the SQL utility of choice, open the Basestation.sqb file and execute these SQL commands:

PRAGMA Integrity_Check

Wait for this to complete.  If it reports "OK", run:

Vacuum

Alternatively, rename the Basestation.sqb file, start Basestation which will create a new, empty sqb file.  Edit the file as before and see if the errors occur?  If not, it may suggest the original sqb file has some corrupt

Ran BS with a new SQB.. and seemed ok.. so i have now downloaded SQLite Expert Personal but need a hand with this..

Ok.. update time..

By process of elimination..
Stopped the windows error logger and the performance went up 100% and the processor went down from 100% to 2-4%, 

With Anmers invaluable help and assistance via a remote session a new version of basestation was installed and the components put back 1 at a time.. all now working well and (touch wood) much better than before. Ran for 24 hours a day over the weekend and have been smashing the edits through with out any errors.

Sounds like something got corrupted in your original Basestation install.
