"I've stopped using Radarbox at the moment because of it's lack of network connection"

Now you're saying "Network is unimportant to me".

Make up your mind.

Sorry, I wasn't clear.  "Network", as in aircraft being shared across a network by other users, is unimportant to me.

Anmer

OK, understand.

Data sharing is unimportant.

Here are my thoughts (Chris Taylor not Kinetic)

-ADSBScope     I can not remember which receiver I got it with  it worked OK and is for the guys that make hardware but don't write software http://www.sprut.de/electronic/pic/projekte/adsb/adsb_en.html  I prefered Plane Plotter

-EuroScope
http://www.euroscope.hu/main.php  Never suceeded in getting it running

-Globe-S Airfield Edition Takes a while to load and looks good not my cup of tea but many seemed to like it but I think it was because it was different. I believe it was designed for airfield use

-srv30003 similar to Virtual Radar server basically plots port 30003 data to googlemaps

-VirtualRadar Don't know where have you seen it? or do you mean Virtual Radar server?
Virtual radar server talks to basestation SQB,Port 30003,Operator Flags & sillouettes and allows you to view your data on an Ipad,Iphone or many of the Droids. Personally I like Vurtualradarserver and use it a lot

Hope that is of some help

tarbat

Thanks Chris, very useful.

There is also the Globe-S mini edition which is free. I've tried it but not completely successful in getting it working.

ADSBscope only works with specific hardware which gives the required data output. The docs indicate: GNS5890, the Beast, miniadsb, adsbPIC. Certainly doesn't see the output of a PGR.

Didn't know about Euroscope so thanks for the info.

IanH

Having just spent much of the afternoon with Euroscope, this is going in the bin.

I have to agree with Tarbat's observation two years ago on the Airnav forum about just how do you get this working? Pleased to have found that when I too failed!

Eventually got the area I'm interested in showing on screen but the proxy server doesn't show co-ordinates in its display so I'm guessing no plotting info would be available anyway. Reading the various forum messages, it may be that the successes are using the same hardware as required for ADSBscope. Also it seem you have to register for VATSIM membership in order to do the required "connect to VATSIM" - couldn't be bothered.

If anyone ever gets this working with an SBS-1 or Radarbox, a write up would be helpful.

Anmer

I for one shan't be attempting to use it.

The free Globe-S mini doesn't seem to work with the SBS-1 despite having a button for it. Hence my comments about trying it previously evidently referred to my trials with a PGR  :-[

Unless anyone knows different.

I seldom post there. Once I use " God-damn " and was told off.
