Can anyone tell me how to get the sound from an SBS-3 through my computer speakers instead of using speakers plugged into the earpiece socket on the back of the SBS. I've read the SBS manual and i just can't make sense of it.

Thank you.

You can stream audio using VLC or Apple's QuickTime.

Whilst there is a short delay, audio streaming lets you use the radio over your home network, wired or wireless.

To connect to the radio use the IP address of the PC running BaseStation or 127.0.01 if it's the same PC as the audio player.

For VLC select Open Network Stream and enter URL:

rtsp://127.0.0.1

Using QuickTime select Open URL and enter the same as above.

Why can't anything just work as simple as that Anmer? Done what you said in QuickTime and it just says disconnected. No sound, nothing!

Is Basestation running and have you tuned the radio?

Is QuickTime running on the same PC as Basestation?  Try using the PC's IP address instead of 127.0.0.1?
