It looks like the Flightradar24 Mlat trial is progressing well.

The screenshot shows aircraft that don't transmit positions but which are being plotted using Flightradar24's multilateration (Mlat).

Coverage will expand as more of the Flightradar24 GPS enabled receivers are installed.

At the moment viewing Mlat plots are only available to Premium subscribers (which includes all FR24 feeders).   To see Mlat only traffic, set T-MLAT as a Radar filter.

I can't wait to see the RadarBox24 version.  ;)

Just spotted some Mlat traffic near my location and was surprised to see all these Mlat plots over the UK.  There were none about a week ago.

Yes , been watching them build over the last  few days...pretty impressive

There's a lower limit of about 20,000 feet obviously limited by the spread of their GS , but great work  all the same.

Latest Mlat plots over Europe.

And lots below 20,000 feet.

And a good mix of civilian and military over the UK.

The number of fixes is increasing all the timeand as you say Mike , with an increase in GS the lower level stuff is kicking in.

I know how dificult it is to get this working correctly , so well done the FR24 crew !

Can anyone with FR24 Premium ( I am a feeder ) view MLAT aircraft, if so where do I find the T-MLAT to set as a Radar filter ?

I don't seem to have anything of that order in the filter drop down box. Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Any Premium subscriber can view Mlat plots as long as they are logged into Premium and it's Active.

Set a Radar Filter by scrolling down and find the T-MLAT feed code.

I think this will be made easier.  It is still a beta trial.

Thanks for that Mike. I am using a tablet at the moment and have, maybe mistakenly, assumed that the MLAT feature has been set up for Android as I do not see the graphic as shown above.

As the feature is still in Beta will it be available for Android yet ?

My understanding is that Mlat data will be switched on across all channels once the beta trial is complete.

I think it's only restricted to Premium and the website for the duration of trial.  But that's only my understanding and things can change.

Logging on to a fresh installation of FR24 Premium on a Windows 8 PC I still am unable to find the required filter selection as indicated above.

The only filters I have are, Altitude, Speed, Callsign and Aircraft.

If you're using Premium App for Windows 8, you're not on the Premium website.

I'm sorry I didn't make that clear.  The Mlat trial is available on the FR24 website for those with a Premium subscription.  It's not on any of the apps.

Thanks again Mike. Have now had MLAT success via FR24 website using a Windows 7 PC.

Very impressive.  The folk at FR24 have done a grand job.

Ooooh, you do make me laugh! :P

I think Brandao's claims to do Mlat and better than PP was the first nail in the AirNav coffin.

But who knows, he may prove us all wrong.
