I'm looking for someone who's clearly not of their right mind to buy mine.  Maybe I should change the ad to say I'm selling the aerial and if you buy I'll throw in a free Radarbox. ;D

I'm going to run an ad on fleabay along the lines of "RadarBox and accessories in excellent condition - comes with a free years supply of Nurofen and Mogadon".  ;)

The free RB with or without the cats' pee & pooh ?  ;)

So far, my cats have been AVOIDING the RB in the litter bin.

As soon as I catch them trying to pee & pooh on the RB, I shall take some nice pictures to share here.

Update: 11 Nov 2013:

Up to today, my cats still refused to pee & pooh onto my RB.  >:( :( :-[

To give "Unique Coverage of WSSS" in www.Radarbox24.com !

I've just seen this posted on the AirNav forum by its "unofficial spokesperson":

"Terms and conditions for various items, goods and services change all the time and are never set in stone for all time."

This was in response to concerns expressed by many RadarBox owners about the blocking of aircraft, route and photo data from the AirNav server unless we take out a network subscription or share our data.

When I bought my RadarBox, access to aircraft, route and photo data was an advertised feature that wasn't conditional on sharing my data or buying an optional network subscription.

AirNav can change its terms and conditions for new customers but it can't apply these retrospectively to existing ones.

In the UK, and I guess in the rest of the EU and most other countries, there will be consumer legislation to protect us from unscrupulous companies who like to try it on.

I for one will be contacting Waters & Stanton for a full refund of the original purchase price of my RadarBox if AirNav goes ahead with this blackmail.  I suggest others do the same.

As someone often says "You couldn't make it up".

Having taken nearly 4 years to release a bug-fix, those who have installed the RadarBox beta now can't use it.  Despite this being reported previously.

AirNav Systems proudly proclaims that RadarBox is " Designed by Professional Airline Pilots".

Perhaps it should recruit some IT professionals instead:

"Had to restart the computer this morning, and found the old message on my screen again:

THIS IS A BETA VERSION NOT ALLOWED TO RUN AFTER 30 NOV 2013
"

I would have thought with Brandao's sense of humour, it would have shown a splash screen with skull and crossbones and a cackling laugh.

Airnav software is becoming more like ransomware. If you don't do what it tells you, the hardware is useless. Either cough up for expensive network access, or give us your data (regardless or not if this is legal in the country you happen to live in).  >:(

This announcement made me chuckle.  :)

"that helped us during the last months with the development of this new software"

Brandao sure takes the biscuit when it comes to embellishing the truth,  What's new other than the removal of aircraft updates unless we share our data?

We're now in year five since the last "new" RadarBox software from AirNav in December 2009.

"New" = "New features or functionality".  >:(

This version has less than the one that shipped with my RadarBox, not more.

AirNav RadarBox 5.00.71 is out.

Upgrade:
http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/ANRBUpgradeto50071.exe

All pending bugs corrected except:
- Erroneous altitude reported after timeout

Again thanks for the team of beta testers and follow (sic) members that helped us during the last months with the development of this new software.
