Hi All

Want to change from my TV dongle set up on my secondary system to an SBS1 unit, I would need an ethernet based unit because of location. With the Puck costing £250 for just USB, lets see whats on the second hand market!

PM please if you have a unit you are willing to part with!

My output can be seen at www.wslwx.co.uk/newweb/wslwx-VR.php this uses VRS.

Many thanks

There is an SBS-1er on eBay at the moment. And that does have ethernet.

Buy-it-now at £200 is probably reasonable, or hope to get it cheaper in auction?

Most of the time, the SBS-1 on there are the earlier USB-only versions.

And that box is nothing to do with me - just like to keep tabs on the market.  ;D

kered

The buy it now disapeared and its at 201 now, bet some are peed off

Now, I'm not saying this is happening this time but I've seen these tactics before.

As soon as an interest is shown in something that doesn't appear too often and has a specialist niche, friends of the seller get together and up the ante to get more for the item.

Of course, this can backfire on the seller but it is something that happens on EBay.

IanH

Not surprised - as I said in 2nd post, I thought £200 for buy it now was reasonable and would have gone for it if I didn't have an SBS-1e.

While this is a niche product, look at the prices of the alternatives.

And rapid price rises near the end are typical - everyone holding off hoping for a bargain and then someone either loses their nerve or tries to put in a killer bid to put everyone off.

But amazing it will go for more than original buy-it-now price.

jonfear

Hmm

Yes the bidding was a bit strange come the end, ending at £201 with no other action.

The way the price went up put me off, I smelt a rat.

Still always another opportunity, who knows someone might have got a nice shiny new SBS-3 from Santa and will off load their old kit!

Best wishes to all for the New Year.

jonfear, judging by your signature you now have an SBS-1e?

Anyway since the "wanted" link for an SBS-1e/SBS-1er still comes here, I thought I would add another one that is up for sale:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291072003958?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

A vague description but the size compared to a CD gives it away.

Contact with the seller indicates it has "two SMA (?) sockets, one ethernet port, one USB port, one PSU port" so looks like an SBS-1er.

Update: went for £137
