Bird Smashes Through Plane Windscreen In Video

[Triple7]

A camera has captured the moment the windscreen of a small plane shattered after a bird flew into the aircraft in Florida. The impact broke one of the two panes of glass, which was left scattered on the front seat. The Piper Saratoga was on its way into Page Field near Fort Myers, Florida.

The pilot, Rob Weber, stayed calm despite suffering an injury being left bleeding by flying shards of glass. Mr Weber, who was on a solo flight, managed to maintain control and land safely.
