Mode-S pulse rate window

I have two PP instances running in different locations:

#1: ver 6.4.1.5 feeded by 2 dongles. I can see the mode-S pulse rate window (pressing "S") and rate filter window (pressing "y").

#2: ver 6.4.1.5 feeded by an FR24 box. Pressing "S" I can see the pulse rate window, but there's no data at all. I can't see the rate filter window, no way to open it. Maybe FR24 box does not provide these data? Anyway I can log both identifier and pulse rate pings.

If its any help the beast sends this data, Just got it back today, maybe if the FR24 box has dip switches that might be the cause
http://wiki.modesbeast.com/Mode-S_Beast:DIP_Switches could give you some idea. I know PP has a dip switch overide but it doesn't work.

When they fixed my Beast and sent it back it wasn't sending any data at all, when i enquired if they said they had changed the dip settings to test all aspects and forgot to reset them, I tried using the PP dip overide but nothing till i physically did them inside the box.

Derek, thanks a lot, at least something to watch to. No answer here nor in PP group.

BTW, my second FR24 box is approved and in transit, Mlat will improve in our area. Now looking for some receiver (better than dongles) to feed PP network properly.

My personal opinion is that the Radarbox is perfect for feeding the PP network and I have one which I can sell on to you for a great price.

Only joking!  It's incapable of MLAT!

The choice is really between a Kinetic receiver (SBS1/3, Puck) or a Transponder Mouse/Beast.

I got my Beast secondhand for an excellent price and it's now given me two years of flawless service, and is perfect for use with PP (Beamfinder and MLAT).

Ok, so no further or important differences between them. Using an additional miniADSB-receiver is just to increase coverage with another antenna, or there are some other benefits?

Yes, really just to increase coverage. You could be using an omni-directional antenna and a directional one feeding into a 2 channel Beast/Mouse.
