Morning all,

I hope this is in the right place but if not could a mod please move it to the correct one.

I set up my DVB-T dongle (here is my original post) on my Window 7 laptop.

Now I have an old desktop computer that isn't being used at the moment and I'm thinking of putting it in to use with another DVB-T dongle upstairs in the front of the house.

Now here is the question.

I want to be able to "connect" to the Desktop DVB-T dongle and show the planes on my laptop's version of adsbScope.

Can this be done?

How can this be done?

I use RTL1090 and adsbScope currently will I need anything else?

Currently I have FR24 feed (and key)  and I want to use it on the desktop to supply FR24 through my router like normal. Currently it is on my Laptop so it doesn't get used often can this also be done?

Breitling

Yes, you can do it. First of all you need both computers on the same LAN, desktop preferably with a static IP.

Plug your dongle to the desktop and run rtl1090 in the same way you already do in your laptop. Then start adsbScope in your laptop and set up network RAW-data-client to port 31001 and URL: 192.168.x.x. (your desktop IP). Start RAW-data-client and you should see your dongle aircrafts.

Anmer

You can feed FR24 from adsbScope via the FR24 feeder, setting the Server active.

Thanks chaps,

So I can use BOTH DVB-T dongles (#1 on the laptop as normal, #2 on the desktop) and when the laptop in on I can "tap" into the desktop one (#2)

Breitling

If you are going to run your desktop 24h, I'd suggest to send your laptop dongle data via UDP to the desktop one and merge both feeds.

Thanks Breitling,

Is there a tutorial anywhere that will tell me how to set it up ?
