Video: Soldiers guard Apache helicopter after it ditches in field near Aberdeen

SOLDIERS and police guarded an army Apache helicopter overnight after it made an emergency landing in a field on the outskirts of Aberdeen.


The stricken attack aircraft had to remain in the field ahead of specialist crews travelling to Aberdeen to launch an investigation.

And an Army spokeswoman said a squad of 20 soldiers were called in to mount overnight patrols. Officers from Police Scotland were also helping with the operation.
